Gólgota
33 E, chegando ao lugar chamado Gólgota, que se diz: Lugar da Caveira, 34 Deram-lhe a beber vinagre misturado com fel; mas ele, provando-o, não quis beber.35 E, havendo-o crucificado, repartiram as suas vestes, lançando sortes, para que se cumprisse o que foi dito pelo profeta: Repartiram entre si as minhas vestes, e sobre a minha túnica lançaram sortes.36 E, assentados, o guardavam ali. 37 E por cima da sua cabeça puseram escrita a sua acusação: ESTE É JESUS, O REI DOS JUDEUS.
Mateus 27:33-37
33 E, giunti sul luogo detto Golgota, che vuol dire: il luogo del teschio 34 gli diedero da bere dell’aceto mescolato con fiele; ma egli, avendolo assaggiato non volle berne.35 Dopo averlo crocifisso, si spartirono le sue vesti tirando a sorte, affinché si adempisse ciò che fu detto dal profeta: “Hanno diviso tra loro le mie vesti e sulla mia tunica hanno tirato a sorte”.36 Postisi quindi a sedere, gli facevano la guardia.37 Al di sopra del suo capo, posero anche la motivazione scritta della sua condanna: “COSTUI E’ GESU’, IL RE DEI GIUDEI”.

1 Sei giorni dopo Gesù prese con sé Pietro, Giacomo e Giovanni suo fratello, e li condusse sopra un alto monte, in disparte;2 e fu trasfigurato alla loro presenza: la sua faccia risplendette come il sole e le sue vesti divennero candide come la luce.3 Ed ecco, apparvero loro Mosé ed Elia, che conversavano con lui.

12-2 That’s what Calvary meant. Men that were in bondage were set free. Men that were once under fear of death can no longer fear death. A man who longs for a city whose Builder and Maker is God, he can step on the highway and set his face towards heaven, because he’s free. Hallelujah. He’s redeemed. He don’t need to wander no more, for there’s a way of knowing whether you are right or not. God gives us Life. Our sins are gone. That day at Calvary paid the price. When we see all of that, no wonder the poet wrote,
Mid rendering rocks and darkening skies,
My Saviour bowed His head and died.
The opening veil revealed the way,
To heavens joys and endless day.
